A Quaint Farmers Market in Coral Gables
The best kept secret in Coral Gables should be on your Saturday morning calendar! At the end of the Farmers Market season in front of city hall, the Coral Gables Museum invited the market to their place. It feels like a European street. It's cozy and friendly and has great selections from some of the same vendors and more, plus a weekly cooking demo from Seasons 52 along with a gift card give away weekly, kids art activities, live music and even a doggy watering station for your other best friend. I'm heading over now to get things you can't buy in the store, like sorrel. Oh, you haven't had it before? I cut it into thin strips and add it to salad. It imparts a lemony taste and means you need less dressing. yum. See you there, and hurry, it only runs through the end of May!

Winter in Coral Gables
![]() |

Yes, you're right, it's not easy to even call it Winter, but it is! I know because we've run the heater a few times already!
So get ready to enjoy the most beautiful time of the year in Miami and Coral Gables. There are plenty of things to do!
Starting with this Friday, January 6th, it's gallery night as well as "Giralda Under the Stars," the one night/per month they close off Giralda on "restaurant row" to car traffic and the bars and restaurants bring tables and live entertainment out into the street.
It will be perfect weather for this week's events too! Try some beef jerky at The Local, Margaritas at Talavera, Chicken Wings at Bar, Thai Doughnuts at Bangkok Bangkok II, and Margarita Pizza from the brick oven at Spris. Yum!
Then comes the weekend. One of the nicest art shows in Miami, peaceful, no entry fee, free parking, surrounded by water. Just what an art show should be in Miami!
It's the Beaux Art Festival at the University of Miami. Great art, food trucks, and this weekend will be better weather than the festival has had in years! Enjoy Coral Gables this weekend!

FNO- Fashion's Night Out Hits Coral Gables!
| Village of Merrick Park is a gorgeous mall! |
Great concept, great shopping, great party! It began as a way to get recession weary shoppers out of the house and into the stores. It has developed into a great big party! And in the case of the Village of Merrick Park Mall, it's an end-to-end event, with the two anchor stores throwing the biggest of the bashes! Both Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus will be going all out with food and drinks and special events. Make sure to rsvp where needed to get in on the fun.
Merrick Park is a beautiful way to spend the evening on Fashion's Night Out/FNO, or any other night. With great food at Villagio and the restaurants at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and an airy open architecture, and flowing fountains, it makes for a great date night.
Enjoy, and send us your photos! You get a free one if you spend $25 or more in the mall. Come on, you know you can do that!
